CMON October Releases
Happy Halloween, everyone! It’s the season of ghosts, goblins, tricks, and particularly treats. That’s the one we’re focusing on here. As kids are headed out going door-to-door Trick or Treating, CMON’s got a whole bowl full of new releases that you can pick up at your FLGS now.
The first treat we have for you is Blue Moon City. Renier Knizia’s classic game of rebuilding the devastated capital city is back. CMON’s version has updated artwork and rules. Go door to door around the city, creating teams of workers to rebuild the various city districts. Gain bonuses for finishing buildings and from completing neighborhoods. Make your offerings at the central Obelisk and be crowned the new leader of Blue Moon City.
From there, we move onto a bubbling witch’s cauldron. The students at the Horribilorum Sorcery Academy for Witty Witches and Wizards as they work on their various concoctions at the end of the semester. The school’s gotten a facelift, with new storage space for the various ingredients. Potion Explosion 2nd Edition also has gotten a facelift and new storage space. The ingredient dispenser is now pre-assembled out of durable plastic and contains a tray in the back to store the marbles between games. Now, the only time you have to worry about losing your marbles is if you didn’t study enough for the test.
I’m not sure if they celebrate Halloween in Westeros, but there are certainly plenty of things that go “bump” in the night. This month sees a whole candy bowl full of new releases for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. Umber is the color of choice with House Stark, as they get both the Umber Greataxes and Umber Berserkers. The Lannisters are handing out flaming orbs from the Pyromancers and the Mountain’s Men are being sure to make their enemies look like a horror movie victim. The Dreadfort isn’t a place you probably want to go trick-or-treating, but you still will want to get your hands on the Bolton Cutthroats, Bastard’s Girls, and Flayed Men.
The season of fright is here, but don’t be afraid to walk into your LGS and pick up all the newest treats. Blue Moon City, Potion Explosion 2nd Edition, and the plethora of A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game releases make excellent additions to your Halloween haul.
