What sort of England will Richard come home to from the Crusades?

King Richard battles in faraway lands during the Crusades, while at home in England, unrest is brewing. Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham are consolidating power, looking to overthrow Richard. However, those still loyal to the absent king are doing what they can to oppose the Prince’s actions. In Richard the Lionheart, players help either Richard or John ascend to the throne. Richard may return triumphantly, or not come home at all.
